Chandrayaan 3 Launch Date, Time, Place, Budget, Live Streaming, Lander and Rover

The Chandrayaan 3 is the third lunar exploration mission in India by the ISRO. Chandrayaan 3 is launched on July 14, 2023, and is expected to land on the lunar surface by 23 August 2023. The mission consists of a rover and a lander. Its primary objective is to demonstrate end-to-end capability in safe landing and roving on the lunar surface.
Chandrayaan-3 Lander and Rover Name
The Chandrayaan-3 lander name is Vikram, and the rover is called Pragyan. Vikram is similar to the lander that was used on Chandrayaan-2. Now, it has been modified with new software and hardware. Pragyan is a small rover that will be deployed from Vikram after the landing. It is used to explore the lunar surface in the vicinity of the landing site.
Chandrayaan-3 also carries a number of scientific instruments, including:
- A spectrometer to study the composition of the lunar surface
- A camera to image the lunar surface
- A laser altimeter to measure the height of the lunar surface
- A magnetometer to measure the magnetic field of the Moon
Chandrayaan-3 Budget
Chandrayaan 3 budget is around ₹615 crore (US$82 million). This includes the cost of the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft, the launch vehicle, and the ground-based operations. The Chandrayaan 3 mission is expected to be completed in two years.
The budget for Chandrayaan 3 is lower than the budget for Chandrayaan 1 and Chandrayaan 2. It is due to a number of factors, including the use of a more affordable launch vehicle, and the reuse of some of the components from Chandrayaan 2. The Chandrayaan 3 is a smaller mission than Chandrayaan 2.
The Chandrayaan 3 mission is a major milestone in India’s space center ISRO. It is the first time that India has attempted to land a spacecraft on the lunar surface since Chandrayaan 2 in 2019. The success of the Chandrayaan 3 mission will demonstrate India’s capabilities in space exploration. Also, it will help to improve the way for future lunar missions.
